Welcome to our lab website!
What is Ecomorphology? Quite simply, it is the study of organism structure (i.e., anatomy) and function (e.g., how it works in a particular context). Understanding the basic structure and function of organisms is one of the oldest areas of research pertaining to the natural world. We are quite simply fascinated with how animals work. Research in the Ecomorphology Lab is centered around understanding function in an ecological or historical (evolutionary) context. We typically study marine fishes, including sharks and chimaeras, and the occasional squid.

The members of our lab, present and past, are listed to the left. Feel free to click on each name to learn more about what each of us does here. Contact information for each lab member should be on their personal page.
